Who We Are

A Global Alliance Born from a Single Conversation

GAZHP connects Zambian healthcare professionals living abroad with those at home — creating a powerful bridge of expertise, mentorship, and resources to uplift Zambia's entire health system.

Diaspora-Led, Locally Grounded Our members span multiple countries but keep Zambia at the center of every initiative.
Healthcare Professionals Driving Solutions Doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals — not just donors — lead our programs.
Focus on Sustainability We build capacity so Zambia becomes self-sufficient, not dependent on external aid.
Founded in 2019 after Dr. David Kazhila was asked on a radio program what physicians could contribute to Zambia. By December 2019, GAZHP was formally registered as a nonprofit.

Why GAZHP

What Makes Us Different

We are not a traditional aid organization. We are healthcare professionals taking ownership of our homeland's health future.

Diaspora-Led, Locally Grounded

Our members live abroad but our roots — and our focus — remain firmly in Zambia. We understand both worlds.

Healthcare Professionals Driving Solutions

We don't just fund programs — we design, lead, and implement them with clinical expertise and professional accountability.

Sustainability Over Dependency

Every project is designed to build lasting capacity. We empower Zambia's own workforce rather than creating reliance on external support.

Accountable, Ethical, Collaborative

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we operate with full transparency, ethical governance, and deep community collaboration.
