PPE donated by Zambian Care Service Owners
PPE handover
GAZHP representatives in Lusaka worked hard sorting out the collection and clearance logistics of the PPE shipped from the UK. Kenyan based GAZHP member Dr Melissa Kapulu who was in Lusaka at the time, Mr Norman Chipakupaku (aka General) and other GAZHP representatives handed over PPE and oximeters to Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Dr Kennedy Malama.
GAZHP have asked that the equipment is earmarked for distribution to rural hospitals and health care centers.

PPE collection and shipment
GAZHP is paying for the shipment of 35 boxes of PPE kindly donated by PLL Care Services, Oxfordshire, UK. The boxes which comprise 30 boxes with 200 visors each and 5 boxes with 200 masks each, are expected to arrive in Lusaka, Zambia on Tuesday, 27th July 2021.
We are grateful to Dr Lloyd Lukama and Dr Priscilla Chikoti-Lukama owners of PLL Care Services for their generosity.
Collection of the boxes from Oxford to Apex Cargo in Leicester faced a few hiccups which thankfully were sorted thanks to Apex stepping in to provide transport at short notice. In a bid to make sure that the boxes arrived in Leicester in time to be packaged ready to be shipped on Monday, 26th July 2021. The boxes were collected late on Friday night and arrived in Leicester just before midnight!
The 35 boxes were put on pallets and combined with other PPE kindly donated by Mrs Grace Chibamba, owner of Addonai Care Services. We are grateful for their contribution.
Thanks to Mr Mohammed Hanif who raised £2100 from his Muslim community network in Leicester to help pay for the shipment of the PPE.
