Addiction and Mental Health Program

Overview

The Global Association of Zambian Health Professionals (GAZHP) is proud to launch its Addiction and Mental Health Program, designed to address the growing need for mental health awareness, support, and treatment both in Zambia and across the diaspora. Through this initiative, GAZHP connects local healthcare providers, educators, NGOs, and youth with diaspora medical professionals to promote holistic and culturally relevant approaches to mental wellness and addiction treatment.

Key Areas of Focus

– Awareness and Education: Hosting online discussions, seminars, and workshops led by expert panels from Zambia and the diaspora.
– Youth Engagement: Organizing essay competitions, establishing school-based mental health clubs, and providing age-appropriate advocacy materials.
– Stakeholder Collaboration: Bringing together public health institutions, NGOs, schools, and health professionals to strengthen the national response.
– Capacity Building: Providing technical assistance, best practices, and professional training through knowledge exchange between local and diaspora experts.
